Bible Study Wednesday @ 8PM

Hey Everybody,

Just a heads up that our first bible study will be this Wednesday (Aug. 31st) at 53 Westview Terrace.

Time: 8PM - 9:30PM

Come take a quick study break with us as we delve into the topic of "Medicine as Ministry"!

Oh, and check out the scripture below. When studies start getting tough, find your refuge in the One above, for He'll give you wisdom and strength. Without him, we are nothing.

Psalm 127:1-2

 ^1-2 If God doesn't build the house, the builders only build shacks. 
   If God doesn't guard the city, 
      the night watchman might as well nap. 
   It's useless to rise early and go to bed late, 
      and work your worried fingers to the bone. 
   Don't you know he enjoys 
      giving rest to those he loves? 

As Dr. Fong would say, "take a cleansing breadth". Enjoy God's refreshing spirit this week, and glorify him through your studies.

Join us for music, board games (did someone say taboo?), Dessert of course (bring your favorite cookies, cake, pie, etc. to share), and fellowship.

URMC Christian Fellowship Kick-Off BBQ

Welcome first years and welcome back med school veterans!

URMC Christian Fellowship is composed of medical students who gather regularly for fellowship, prayer, Bible study, and investigation of ethical issues. We're having a kick-off BBQ this Saturday, Aug. 13, and several other upcoming events.

1. KICK-OFF BBQ!
When: Sat. Aug. 13, 3-5pm
Where: 53 Westview Terrace (right behind Chipotle)
Come and enjoy free hot dogs and hamburgers! Everyone is welcome!

2. INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL MINISTRY TALK
Come hear a U of R medical graduate, Dr. Daniel Cummings, and his wife Dr. Priscila Cummings, speak about their ministry in Angola as medical missionaries.

When: Sat. Aug 13, 7pm
